1. In which division will my child play?
A: Use your child's date of birth to determine their division.
Tee Ball: 09/01/12 - 02/28/15
Machine Pitch: 09/01/10 - 08/31/12
Minors: 09/01/08 - 08/31/10
Majors: 09/01/06 - 08/31/08
2. Does this league have softball and baseball?
A: No. We currently only offer baseball, although girls are more than welcome to play. Tee Ball and Machine Pitch typically have 2-3 girls on each team. Fewer girls sign up for Minors and Majors so there may only be 0-1 girl per team.
3. I have two children in the same division, can they play on the same team?
A: If your kids are in Tee Ball or Machine Pitch, they can definitely be on the same team. Please note it on each child's registration. Minors and Majors is draft pick. Although we always try to keep siblings together, there is no guarantee. Please note it on each child's registration as well. This is for SIBLINGS only. Please do not make requests for friends to be on the same team.
4. How do I sign up to coach?
A: Upon creating an account, you will be able to register as a volunteer. Please indicate whether you would like to be a head coach, assistant coach, or team parents. We are always very short on coaches and we appreciate all who donate their time to our youth. *Background checks will be run on all volunteers.
5. What equipment does my kid need?
A: Your child will need a glove, baseball pants and cleats (no metal spikes). All boys will be required to wear an athletic cup. Boys will not be eligible to play in Minors/Majors games without a cup. The league will provide each team with one bat. The league will also provide each player with a jersey and hat.
6. What kind of bat can I use?
A: Effective 2018, Little League adopted a new USA Bat standard. Please click on the following link for more information: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo/USA-Baseball-Bat-Standard-FAQs.htm
7. Will there be another showcase/tryout like last year?
A: Yes. The showcase will be held on Saturday, Feb 16th. This is not a tryout. All kids who register will make a team. The showcase gives the coaches an opportunity to see the kids in action. They will hit, field and some may pitch. Our hope is that it will make the teams more evenly matched. It is not mandatory to attend but is very helpful if your kid can be there, especially for new coaches. (Only for players Minors/Majors - Ages 9-12)
8. When will I hear from my coach?
A: You should hear from your coach by March 15th. Please be patient as some coaches may call a few days sooner than others.
9. When is Opening Day?
A: Opening Day will be on Saturday, March 30th. All teams in all divisions will play on this day (only Saturday game of season). Team pictures will also be held prior to your game.
